When should you replace your toilet? There are many signs that can give you the hint, but one common issue with older toilets is constant and inexplicable clogging.
While it can happen with a new toilet as well, if you have had the need to change the way you flush to prevent a clog, it could definitely be a sign that it is time to start looking for a replacement toilet.
Another problem to keep an eye out for are leaks. These could be around the base of the toilet, or even from cracks in the bowl. Since contaminated water will be leaking out on your floor, this definitely makes it urgent to get the toilet replaced.
If you notice that flushing isn’t working as well as it did, it could be that all you need to do is to replace the flushing mechanism, but in some cases that might just be a bandaid on a toilet that has outlived its usefulness.
