Do you hate it when you go to flush your toilet and the handle is loose and rattles? Or even worse, has someone managed to break off the handle completely, leaving you with a short stump in place? If so, it is time for you to replace it. You should be able to find a replacement handle in any hardware store, and replacing it is fairly simple. You will first need to make sure that you get one that is as close a match to what you have already installed. There are a few things to pay attention to. Start by draining the water from your tank with the supply shut off to remove the old handle. Match up all the attributes of your existing handle with the new one you are purchasing. That involves the mounting hole, the angle of the handle and the arm that is attached to it and the placement of the chain on the arm. Getting something that doesn’t match might prevent you from flushing your toilet.
