The underground pipes around your home are pretty much an unknown factor to you as a homeowner. In fact, sometimes the only reason why a leak is detected is because it is catastrophic and ends up flooding your lawn or backing up into your home. Of course, when dealing with something like that, you might worry that you will end up having to rip up your entire yard and spend a lot of time and money on getting everything fixed, but there is a different method that could make your life easier. It is called pipe bursting, and it is accomplished by digging a small hole at each end of the pipe that needs to be replaced. The new pipe will be fed into the hole and will have a bursting head attached that is made to crush the existing pipe. This can then be fed through the location that the old pipe was located, crushing it along the way. This will save you from having a large trench dug into your front yard and your plumbing will once again be functional.
