Plumbing manifolds are pretty great. They help to keep your plumbing organized, they run efficiently, and they make future repairs and installations easier (and ultimately less expensive).
Something that seems to be coming up more lately though are manifold leaks. If you look at the picture to the right you will see a pretty typical leak as the top of the manifold. The threads on this particular unit were not sealed properly and just leaked out.
Often times though, a plumbing manifold leak comes from two different materials that should not touch, like copper and galvanized, or some other combination. As the two materials interact with each other on a molecular basis they corrode and eventually leak. If you live in Margate FL, Boca Raton, Parkland, or any of the surrounding areas be sure to check your manifolds if you have one. Or better yet, contact me!
