Sometimes it might seem tempting, you have something that you want to get rid of, and there is your toilet, and with an easy flush, things can disappear. Don’t give in to the temptation. Nothing but toilet paper and excrement should go down your toilet. Why is that? Here are some commonly flushed items that should never go down the toilet.

Dental floss. It might seem like a single piece of floss couldn’t do any damage, but if it gets tangled, it will cause clogs.

Wet wipes. These might come labeled as flushable, but in reality, they are not.

Q-Tips. This it very commonly flushed down the toilet, but they will get stuck in bends of the pipe.

Cat Litter. Since many brands are made to clump when in contact with a liquid, you can imagine what it will do in your pipes.

Whenever that temptation comes over you to flush something down the toilet, consider how much it will cost you to repair the damage it will cause and make the effort to dispose of these and other items correctly.
