How do you feel about your bathroom faucet? Does it have issues? Maybe it leaks, or squeaks, or maybe it just looks ugly and dated. While the thought of replacing your faucet might seem a little daunting, it is actually not a very complicated process. Here are the steps that are involved in replacing a standard bathroom faucet:

First you need to turn of the water. Usually you will find a water supply cut off underneath the sink; if not, you might need to follow the pipe to where the closest water cut off is located. Make sure you test both the warm and the cold water before you start working on the faucet.

After this, you can remove the water supply lines, as well as, the nuts that are closer to the faucet. You also need to disconnect the lift rod.

Don’t forget to install a new gasket underneath your new faucet. Make sure everything is straight, and then follow the steps in reverse to reattach everything. Before using your sink, remove the aerator from the faucet and run the water for a while to remove any sediment that could clog it up.
