Are you battling hordes of fruit flies in your home? It is a common problem, but usually, there are several things that you can do to minimize the risk that they make your home a permanent home for themselves. You can start the fight in your kitchen sink.

Fruit flies usually come into your home with plants or vegetables, but if they start reproducing, they can lay hundreds of eggs in a short time. They prefer dark, damp places to make their nests, so if your sink always has dishes and old food in it, you’re giving them just what they need. Keeping a clean and dry sink at all times can take quite a bit of work, but it is going to be beneficial.

You can set up a simple trap that can prove quite effective in getting rid of fruit flies. A glass of water with some apple cider vinegar and dish soap in it can prove to be irresistible for the fruit flies. You will find a lot of them floating in a glass that is left out overnight.
