If the old showerhead has corroded, you might need to use two wrenches to provide leverage, but again, use caution so as to not damage the pipe. If you don’t feel confident that you can accomplish this, you might need to contact a plumber that has the experience to do the job right.
Next, you should clean off the pipe well with a wire brush. Remove any residue of old teflon tape, and when you are done, apply a thin layer of new teflon tape. Screw the new showerhead on, and you are done.
