It can easily happen to anyone that has a dishwasher. You have friends visiting, or parents, and they have no idea what type of dish soap goes into your dishwasher. So instead of clean dishes, you get a dishwasher that is spewing out insane amounts of bubbles.

You might panic and think that your dishwasher is ruined, but don’t despair. A dishwasher is more durable than that.

What should you do? Well, if you do nothing, you will continue to see bubbles coming out of the washer for a while. This is not only messy, it could even do damage to your floor if you constantly get it wet from a dishwasher that is leaking out soapy water.

What you need to do, instead, is to take out all the dishes from the dishwasher immediately, and clean them off in the sink. Clear out as much soap from your washer as you can and then run repeated rinse cycles until your washer stops generating suds. If you have access to a wet vacuum, this will make your job a lot easier, letting you vacuum out the sudsy water between rinses.
