Backflow Prevention

Backflow Prevention

As the name suggests, the backflow is a flow of water in the opposite direction to the way it normally runs. In order to prevent a backflow, many devices and assemblies can be found on the market.

Is it a Problem? – Although this might not seem like a big problem at first, it can wreak havoc because it can spread contaminated water back through the distribution system. As a connection between a source of contamination and the public water supply, cross connections will see contaminated water enter the potable water system. If this water is then ingested, it will lead to sickness.
